About

I graduated from Myotherapy College of Utah in May of 2010 to become a licensed massage therapist. I am certified in Thai Yoga massage, lymphatic drainage, deep tissue, Swedish, hot stone massage, and craniosacral therapy. Many of my clients come to see me for the quality and presence of my touch. I have experience in providing pain relief from acute as well as chronic musculoskeletal issues, keeping the body as a whole in mind.

In August of 2014 I received my master’s degree in somatic depth psychology from Pacifica Graduate Institute. Somatic depth psychology concerns itself with the way unconscious content—dreams, troubling physical symptoms, heartbreak, and/or various kinds of trauma—manifests in the physical body. My approach to somatic work is based on a profound respect for each individual’s unique and personal process and does not seek to fit the client into a particular philosophical or clinical template. Instead, I implement deep listening skills to attune to the client’s experience and create a grounded and peaceful environment where their process can safely unfold.

In September of 2017 I completed a three year training program to become a Somatic Experiencing® Practitioner (SEP). Somatic Experiencing® is an internationally recognized body-based approach to the healing of trauma that successfully addresses the profound impacts of shock trauma, developmental trauma as well as the chronic stresses of everyday life. American Massage Therapy Association (AMTA) and United States Association for Body Psychotherapy (USABP) are the professional organizations I belong to. Click here for more information: https://www.amtamassage.org/index.html and http://usabp.org/
