Description
The Utah LGBTQ+ Chamber Workplace Connect Program is a working group developed exclusively for for-profit corporation PRIDE employee resource group (ERG) leads and others who are a part of their companies' diversity & inclusion initiatives.
The Workplace Connect group meets six times a year to discuss topics of importance to LGBTQ+ employees and business leaders.
Our April discussion topic will be Trans Healthcare Considerations for the Workplace and we are pleased to welcome our guest speaker, Dr. Rixt A. Luikenaar.
Rixt Luikenaar is a board certified physician (they/them) in obstetrics and gynecology who founded Rebirth Obgyn in 2014. They focus on LGBTQAI+ healthcare and have taken care of over 5500 transgender including gender-nonbinary patients. Rixt is gender nonbinary, genderqueer and neuroqueer, the parent of a transgender son and passionate about transgender rights and DI&E in the workplace. They finished an executive MBA program at the University of Utah in 2020 and is co-editing the first textbook in Trans*Gynecology trough Cambridge Publishing.
